Mr. Dieter would like everyone to know he will be leaving the hospital tomorrow, September 14th so don't try to visit him there. He thanks everyone who visited.
Please wear your Class A Uniform to the Troop Meeting this week (May 10th).
Some of you may remember the day Ed Webster came to visit our troop? He tells his story of climbing Mt. Everest through a wonderful power point presentation!! He brings some of his gear and he will also have his book available for sale. All Scouts are invited, as well as their parents and siblings. We only ask if siblings do attend that a parent attends with them.
This is an event sponsored by the Troop and you will not want to miss it!!!
For the Scouts who are working on the Music Merit Badge with Mrs. Eno, please bring your blue card and completed worksheet to the troop meeting this coming Thursday (2/23). Please finish up any of your requirements before hand. If you need to play or sing a song, please bring your instrument/voice with you and come early to perform for Mrs. Eno.
For anyone interested in working on the music merit badge, I will be starting it on Thursday, October 10th at 6:00 PM at Bedford Presbyterian Church. Please bring your worksheets with you.
National Outdoor Badges for Camping, Hiking, Aquatics, Riding, and Adventure
The five National Outdoor Badges recognize a Boy Scout or Varsity Scout who demonstrates both knowledge and experience in camping, hiking, aquatics, riding, or adventure. Scouts earning the National Outdoor badges have demonstrated that they are knowledgeable, safe, and comfortable in the outdoor activity covered by the badge.
In order for a Scout to earn one or more of the National Outdoor Badges (and/or the gold or silver devices), the Scout must complete Several requirements.
Note: The large center badge is awarded when a Scout earns the first of the five badges. Read more: http://usscouts.org/advance/boyscout/outdoor-badges.asp
