New BSA COVID Meeting and Camping Guidelines

Posted on Nov 13 2020 - 9:15am

Hi Scouts and Parents,

Please find the BSA guidance for troop meetings and camp outs for COVID safety.   This also includes a waiver that must be signed and on file with the troop in order for scouts to attend in-person meetings and camp outs.

Scouting for Food

Posted on Oct 2 2016 - 3:09pm
As a reminder, Scouting for Food will take place on Saturday, November 5th and Saturday, November 12th.  On the weekend of the 5th Scouts will pick up door tags and a route(s) (8:00AM - 12:00 noon) and hang those tags sometime that weekend (Saturday or Sunday at your convenience).  On Saturday 12th scouts will be picking up food throughout the town between 9:00AM and noon.  This is a significant undertaking for a very good cause and scouts should make every effort to participate.  Please mark your calendars.

Scouts Support Hospitals

Posted on May 22 2020 - 6:44am

We would like to collaborate with Troop 5 in collecting donations for our local medical professionals who have dedicated themselves to helping our community overcome the COVID-19 crisis.  We're collecting medical supplies such as masks (there are instructions on how to make home made masks on the website) and sanitizers, and also other essentials such as "chapstick, chocolate, gum, hair ties, head bands, hand-lotion (non-scented), mints, pre-packaged snacks, pre-paid Dunkin' gift cards, protein bars, and travel-size dry shampoo".

20 Mile Recognition

Posted on Aug 27 2013 - 5:33pm

Kyle E, Mac C, Bryce L, and Matt M just completed a 20+ mile hike through the Pemigewasset Wilderness Saturday (8/17). It took about 11 hours to trek through the "valley of the roots", over the "field of boulders", past the "sloping hills" across mighty rivers, and up the rock stairway to Zealand Hut to begin their long journey.
