We will have a briefing on the summer camp programs at Camp Bell and Hidden Valley on 16 February for those who have not yet attended summer camp or who want to learn more about the programs. The brief will be provided by folks from Council. This year we will try and organize a provisional patrol for those scouts who cannot attend during the usual troop dates. Hidden Valley Scout Camp at Griswold Scout Reservation offers a terrific program which includes a choice of merit badges, a great New Scout program (Frontier!), and a wide selection of troop and free time activities. Scout camp in camp-provided tents, and eat at the dining hall. For older scouts, they also offer the Voyageur programs either camping in the backcountry or floating down the river (for an additional fee), as well as their SPOKE program and COPE programs. Camp at Hidden Valley offers a great experience getting to know other members of the troop, as well as scouts from other units that you meet in the merit badge program.
